A human being might have better discretion, but they aren't human. It's like, once the AI is in it's braking zone, it's committed, and will try to pull of the move. Again, it's key that you claim a line (outside or inside) and close any gaps to that line before the AI hit the braking zone. But if you completely guard the line and close the gap before the AI hits it's braking zone, it will give you the line. If the AI sees a gap before it reaches it's braking point (especially on the inside), it will lunge for it. It's more likely that you didn't totally close off the gap, or that you were kind of in the middle of the track and not fully on the inside or outside line, leaving the AI with what it interpreted as a gap. Check your position when you think you're being rammed. It's different from other games, and RRE's AI can seem aggressive if you leave slight gaps. The issue is the AI behavioral characteristics.

I don't think the issue is Adaptive vs Normal AI, though. My favorite is racing at Bathurst, which could never really work if the AI was crazy. I run DTM races all the time with zero issues.

Could you please share your settings for playing races with FR-X17 & DTM 2016? How to make them stop hitting me all the time? How to make them stop going off track and return to track unsafely hitting other cars?Yeah.
